About the Opportunity
A water and natural resources management consulting firm is seeking a Civil & Water Resources Technical Program Manager to lead advanced technical services and establish firmwide standards for hydrologic, hydraulic, and stormwater design work.
This role is ideal for a licensed Professional Engineer who wants to combine hands-on technical leadership with program oversight, mentorship, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and peer-review hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, drainage studies, and stormwater design
Oversee development of stormwater BMPs, green/blue infrastructure, and climate-adaptive solutions
Establish and manage QA/QC frameworks for all technical deliverables
Provide technical leadership on multidisciplinary teams
Support clients through agency reviews with defensible, high-quality technical documentation
Mentor engineers, scientists, and designers
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, water resources engineering, or closely related field
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
10+ years of water resources modeling and design experience
Strong proficiency with tools such as XP-SWMM, HydroCAD, MIKE, or similar platforms
Preferred
CFM or other advanced technical credentials
Experience leading technical programs or discipline groups
History of publications, presentations, or industry recognition
