Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher with expertise in autism to serve full-time in the Denver area for the 2026-2027 school year. The position focuses on supporting new classrooms for non-school year (NSY) programs and is based onsite in Aurora, CO. The role requires working Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with exact campus assignments to be finalized in collaboration with direct hires and district preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods to meet evolving needs.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development focused on autism education.
  • Assist in expanding NSY classroom offerings within the district.

Qualifications:

  • Active Colorado DOE Special Education Certification.
  • Prior experience working with autism populations in a school setting.
  • Ability to pass district-required background checks and fingerprinting.
  • Commitment to supporting students with special needs in a dynamic educational environment.

This role supports students in various age groups within a school setting, providing an important contribution to their educational success. While primarily an NSY assignment, there is potential for involvement in current school year (CSY) programs depending on qualifications and experience.
