Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced VRF Piping Mechanic to join our growing team. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of VRF systems and associated piping in both commercial and residential settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC piping and hands-on experience with VRF systems, ensuring precise installation, adherence to safety standards, and effective system performance.

Minimum Requirements

  • 3+ years of HVAC piping installation experience

  • 1+ year working directly with VRF systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Install VRF piping systems per manufacturer guidelines and project specifications, including refrigerant piping, condensate lines, and insulation.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine layout and requirements.

  • Fabricate, assemble, and install copper piping with precision and accuracy.

  • Braze, solder, and pressure-test refrigerant piping to meet industry standards and ensure integrity.

  • Perform leak testing to confirm compliance with safety regulations.

  • Collaborate with HVAC technicians to connect piping to indoor and outdoor VRF units.

  • Install components such as brackets, hangers, and insulation to secure and protect piping.

  • Coordinate with electricians, general contractors, and other trades to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.

  • Troubleshoot and repair existing VRF piping systems as needed.

  • Document work performed, including measurements, materials used, and daily progress reports.

  • Assist with commissioning and startup of VRF systems.

  • Stay current with advancements in VRF technology and piping techniques.

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
