RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in training to produce quality products/services, applying preventative measures to ensure customer requirements and company standards are met.

Comply with all legal, safety, and environmental requirements to avoid injury and/or ill health to self and others.

Identify potential emergency situations and promptly report all incidents to management.
-
Adhere to the facility’s quality, environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures as outlined in company management systems.
-
Plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems. Excellent attendance is required.

Work closely with the Logistics Department and previous shift supervisors to schedule and monitor production flow.
-
Ensure production teams follow work instructions and company policies.
-
Interpret specifications and job orders to employees, assigning duties as needed.
-
Adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
-
Prepare accurate and thorough production reports for the shift.
-
Enforce company policies and safety regulations on the production floor.
-
Recommend process improvements, equipment usage adjustments, and working condition changes to improve efficiency.

Analyze and help resolve work-related problems.
-
Motivate employees to achieve production and quality goals.
-
Contact appropriate departments (maintenance, engineering, quality) for support when required.

Complete necessary maintenance work orders.

Approve timecards and overtime requests.

Collaborate with other supervisors to coordinate interdepartmental activities.
-
Assist with monthly and annual physical inventories.
-
Working scheduled overtime along with shift team members is required.
EDUCATION
-
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; OR 3–5 years of related supervisory experience and/or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
-
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, business publications, and governmental regulations.
-
Experience preparing reports and delivering presentations to managers, clients, and employees.
-
Familiarity with customer and company part numbers, blueprints, and drawings.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other data collection systems.
-
Detail- and quality-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
-
Ability to work independently while maintaining collaboration with the production team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
-
Ability to stand and walk for 8–12 hours per shift.
-
Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching required.
-
Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 35 pounds regularly; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds with assistance.
-
Manual dexterity to operate tools, machinery, and computer systems.
-
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and exposure to industrial machinery.
-
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed shoes.
-
Visual ability to read work instructions, part numbers, and production data.
-
Ability to respond quickly to production floor situations, emergencies, or employee needs.
