Job Description

The Career Coach will work with the Principal to do assessment and intake of candidates into the WIOA program. Career Coach will work with participants to provide support and ensure that they are meeting the WIOA program goals through the different phases of the program; meets with teachers to inquire about student's progress and retention in school; submits monthly reports to the Lead Career Coach; maintains the (Career Connect program) Case Management of applicant records; documents all interactions with participants; maintains comprehensive files per COOK COUNTY WORKFORCE PARTNERSHIP requirements: analyzes participants needs and provide supportive services, facilitating participants access to community resources; coordinates field trips including job shadowing, college fairs and other career-focus activities; attends appropriate meetings and conferences to have up-to-date information on students progress; other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • B.A. or 4 years experience working with diverse student population
  • Knowledge of computer programming and data management systems
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Knowledge of Department of Labor policies and regulations
  • Knowledge of school code and school compliance regulations
  • Available for on-call duties as needed
