Job Title: Associate Director of Nursing – Maternal Child Health (MCH)
Location: Brooklyn, NY

Position Overview

A leading healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Nursing (ADON) to oversee the Maternal Child Health (MCH) department. This leadership role is ideal for a strategic and clinically strong nursing professional committed to advancing excellence in obstetric, neonatal, and pediatric care. The ADON will be responsible for driving clinical quality, operational efficiency, and patient-centered outcomes across MCH units.

Key Responsibilities

Department Leadership

  • Oversee nursing operations across Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Neonatal/Pediatric units
  • Ensure efficient workflow, staffing optimization, and high standards of patient care

Clinical Quality & Performance Improvement

  • Lead initiatives to improve maternal and neonatal outcomes
  • Implement evidence-based practices and monitor key performance indicators

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop nursing staff
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous professional growth

Regulatory Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to New York State Department of Health (DOH) regulations
  • Maintain readiness for audits, inspections, and accreditation standards

Patient-Centered Care

  • Promote a family-focused care model
  • Enhance patient experience and ensure safety throughout the care continuum

Required Qualifications

Licensure

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York

Education & Experience

  • Master’s Degree in Nursing with at least 5 years of clinical experience, including 3+ years in a leadership, supervisory, or teaching role
    OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing with at least 6 years of clinical experience, including 4+ years in a leadership, supervisory, or teaching role

Specialization

  • Prior leadership experience in Maternal Child Health, Women’s Services, or related clinical areas preferred
