SUMMARY:

The Construction Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment across all construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and field personnel to promote a culture of safety, ensure regulatory compliance, and minimize workplace incidents.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s Safety and Health Program
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
  • Conduct regular job site inspections and enforce safety standards
  • Lead safety orientations, training sessions, and toolbox talks
  • Investigate incidents and maintain accurate safety records
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure safety compliance
  • Maintain all required safety documentation and reporting logs


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 5+ years of construction safety experience
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification (required)
  • First Aid/CPR Certification
  • CSP or CHST certification (preferred)

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective actions
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

Working Conditions

  • Frequent presence on active construction job sites
  • Exposure to outdoor environments and varying weather conditions

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, and climb for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to wear required PPE at all times

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to: General Superintendent and/or General Manager
  • Works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Field Crews
