Job DescriptionSnelling is recruiting a full-time Bookkeeper for a well-established legal firm company in the Birmingham area. The starting pay for this position is open depending on experience. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for a variety of accounting and bookkeeping tasks that support the overall financial operations of the firm.
Key Responsibilities of Bookkeeper:
- Accurately record and process all financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Monthly reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial accounts
- Prepare and submit invoices to clients in a timely manner
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and other financial documents
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations
- Provide support to the accounting team as needed
Qualifications Required for the Bookkeeper:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role, preferably in a professional services or legal environment
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in the use of accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Sage
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred)
- Juris accounting software experience is a plus
