A skilled Radiation Therapist is needed for an outpatient cancer clinic focused on delivering high-quality radiation therapy treatments. This contract position is based in Gastonia, NC, and offers the opportunity to work with advanced technology in a supportive and diverse environment.
Responsibilities include operating Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators to administer radiation therapy to ambulatory cancer patients. The role involves managing a patient caseload typically ranging from 60 to 100 patients per day, working alongside a team of approximately 12 therapists per shift. Candidates must be prepared to potentially float to other radiation therapy sites within the greater Charlotte area, pending managerial approval.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Radiation Therapist
- Proficiency with Varian Truebeam Linear Accelerators is required
- BLS certification and ARRT-T radiotherapy technologist credential
- Familiarity with EPIC/Aria electronic medical record systems
- Experience treating a variety of cancer diagnoses
- Ability to work in a fast-paced outpatient setting
- Open to first-time travelers for contract opportunities
