Job DescriptionAs a Machinist Level 2 here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for operating and setting up machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. You will work with blueprints, sketches, or computer-generated specifications to ensure the highest quality and accuracy in machining operations.
You will report directly to our Machine Shop Manager and you'll work out of our Greer, SC location on an On-site work schedule. (4th shift - Fri - Sun 6am - 6pm)
In this role, you will impact the efficiency and quality of our manufacturing processes by producing components that meet stringent specifications, supporting production goals, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to manufacture precision parts.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine machining operations and sequence.
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and quality, making adjustments as necessary to meet specifications.
- Maintain equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

YOU MUST HAVE
- Proven experience as a machinist with a strong understanding of machining processes and equipment operation.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Skilled in setting up and operating manual and CNC machine tools to produce precision parts.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure quality control.
- Familiarity with safety standards and best practices in a machine shop environment.
WE VALUE
- Associate degree or technical certification in machining or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or machining environment.
- Experience with CNC programming and operation is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing priorities.
