Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities that support the developmental needs of 2-year-old OR 3-year-old children
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
• Collaborate with assistant teachers and other staff to ensure smooth daily operations
• Maintain open communication with families, providing regular updates on child progress and classroom activities
• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times
• Observe and assess children’s development and document progress
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom space

Qualifications

• Employees must be at least eighteen years of age
• Experience teaching in preschool settings is highly encouraged
• Employees who will be working with the children must have a high school diploma or an equivalency certificate (GED).
• Employees must be able to perform all functions of their specific job as outlined in their specific job descriptions.
• Staff shall be emotionally and physically able to perform assigned duties (e.g., lifting a 40-pound child, comforting or redirecting while maintaining one’s own emotions).
