Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A retail pharmacy opportunity in Los Alamos, NM is available for a dedicated pharmacist ready to contribute in a fast-paced environment. This contract-to-hire position offers the chance to work with an active patient base and a collaborative pharmacy team.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 8:30 a.m. 6:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 9:00 a.m. 2:00 p.m.
- Rotating weekends
Responsibilities:
- Supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow and compliance.
- Deliver excellent customer service and provide patient counseling to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Verify USP 800 non-sterile compounded prescriptions (no compounding required).
- Manage workload efficiently in a busy pharmacy processing approximately 600 prescriptions daily.
- Utilize the Pioneer system for prescription processing and record keeping.
Qualifications:
- Active and clear New Mexico pharmacist license.
- Comfort with high-volume retail pharmacy operations.
- Experience with non-sterile compounding verification is advantageous.
