Job Summary
The Young Toddler Teacher supports the healthy development, safety, and learning of children ages 1224 months. This role requires a nurturing, patient, observant, and energetic educator who can create a warm, responsive environment while following STAR 4 quality standards and developmentally appropriate practices.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a warm, nurturing, and responsive environment for infants (ages 6 weeks to 18 months).
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that support cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment.
  • Observe and document each childs progress and communicate regularly with families.
  • Collaborate with assistant teachers and other staff to ensure consistency and quality of care.
  • Follow all state licensing requirements, health and safety guidelines, and center policies.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings.
  • Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with parents and caregivers.


Qualifications:

  • Required: CDA (Child Development Associate) or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education (Bachelors preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development and best practices in infant care.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Genuine love for infants and commitment to their healthy development.
