Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a dedicated School Psychologist located in La Place, LA, serving five schools across a diverse educational setting that includes three elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school. This contract position involves collaborating as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive psychological services and support to students.
The School Psychologist will work closely with one Educational Diagnostician, one Evaluation Social Worker, and one to two Behavior Intervention Social Workers. This supportive team environment fosters professional collaboration while offering a manageable workload, as this is not an overly busy team. Travel between the schools is required, and reimbursement is available for travel expenses.
Responsibilities include conducting psychological assessments, interpreting results, and developing intervention plans tailored to individual student needs. The professional will provide consultation to educators, parents, and other stakeholders, contributing to the development of effective educational strategies and behavior management plans. Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies are essential components of the role.
