Oxford Properties is a multifamily real estate development and construction company headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. We manage development and construction operations in house and provide general contracting services to third party multifamily developers. We primarily focus on wood-frame, garden style, multifamily projects in the Southeast Sunbelt region.
We are looking for 2-3 Assistant Superintendents to join our growing construction team.
The ideal candidate must be dependable, organized, and forward thinking with a desire to grow into a Superintendent role or other leadership position in the next few years.
Position Overview
The Assistant Superintendent plays a key role in supporting field operations and the successful execution of multifamily construction projects. Working closely with the Superintendent and project team, this individual helps coordinate daily construction activities, manages assigned scopes of work, maintains project schedules and quality standards, communicates effectively with subcontractors, and contributes to the safe and efficient delivery of projects from start to finish.
Essential Job Functions
- Oversees assigned multifamily construction projects, including specific buildings, phases, scopes of work, or areas of responsibility.
- Serves as a key point of coordination among subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and project team members to ensure effective communication and execution.
- Supports the Superintendent in managing day-to-day construction activities, project sequencing, scheduling, and site logistics.
- Observes and evaluate ongoing work to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Proactively identifies potential field issues and assists in implementing solutions before they impact schedule, quality, budget, or productivity.
- Participates in planning sessions, subcontractor coordination meetings, and project team meetings.
- Monitors and reports on construction progress, workforce levels, material deliveries, inspections, and other critical field operations.
- Assists with punch list management, make ready’s, inspections, and project closeout activities.
- Fosters a safe, well-organized, and efficient jobsite environment that promotes accountability, teamwork, and productivity.
Position Qualifications
- High school diploma; BS in Construction Management or related discipline preferred
- 2-3 years previous construction experience, preferably in multifamily
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to travel and work on out of state projects
- Ability to multitask and follow-up on tasks
- Possess a strong work ethic
- Knowledge of construction related software
Physical Demands
- Must be capable of lifting a minimum of twenty-five pounds.
- Must be able to navigate the jobsite on foot and climb ladders to make visual inspections as required
