Shift & Schedule

  • Day Shift

  • 5×8-hour shifts (40 hours/week)

  • Start time between 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM, Monday–Friday

  • On-call requirement: Yes (0–5 call assignments per month; additional call optional)

  • Weekend on-call coverage as needed

Assignment Length

13 weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to support a busy inpatient IR department. The IR Tech will assist with diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging, patient safety, and efficient workflow in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during interventional and angiographic procedures

  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and sterile fields

  • Perform imaging and technical support for IR procedures

  • Ensure proper patient positioning, radiation safety, and image quality

  • Monitor patients during procedures and respond to changes in condition

  • Accurately document procedures using the electronic medical record

  • Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience

  • First-time travelers accepted

  • Experience in inpatient, operating room, emergency department, and IR settings

Required Certifications

  • ARRT (in hand)

  • BLS (AHA preferred)

X-Ray Procedure Experience Required

  • Extremities (upper & lower)

  • Abdomen / GI

  • Spine / Pelvis

  • Head

  • Chest / Thorax

IR / Angio / Special Procedures Experience Required

  • Angiograms & angioplasty

  • Stents

  • Nephrograms

  • Vascular and venous access procedures

  • Drainages (abdominal, pelvic, upper & lower extremity)

  • Genitourinary studies

  • Neurological studies

  • Peripheral vascular procedures
