Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years CT Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Position Overview:
A leading academic medical center, designated as a Level 1 Trauma and Stroke Center, seeks an experienced CT Radiologic Technologist skilled in both CT and general radiography modalities. This contract opportunity is located in Winston-Salem, NC, within a facility known for high-acuity care, including pediatric and adult patients. The role offers the chance to work in a dynamic setting, including trauma and stroke cases, supporting emergency department imaging needs.
Responsibilities:
- Perform CT scans and general radiology (X-ray) procedures for both adult and pediatric patients.
- Prepare and operate fluoroscopy equipment, with training provided as needed.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced radiology professionals in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and image quality standards.
- Utilize electronic medical record systems (EPIC) for documentation and patient tracking.
- Handle trauma, stroke, and chest pain patient imaging to support rapid diagnosis and treatment.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of CT imaging experience required.
- Valid ARRT Certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography (RT(R)(CT)).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification mandatory.
- Ability to perform both adult and pediatric imaging in a trauma center setting.
- Comfortable working in a high-pressure environment with emergent cases.
- Willingness to adapt to varied shift schedules including weekends and holidays, with no weekend rotation currently required.
Schedule/Hours:
- Shift options: 2:30 PM1:00 AM (Mon-Thurs) or 6:30 PM7:00 AM (Mon, Tue, Thu)
- Holiday shifts required approximately 75% of the time with manager approval for return-to-office requests.
