Job Title: Operations Coordinator, Policy & Public Affairs

Location: Washington, DC

Assignment Type: Direct Hire

Pay: $70,000 – $73,000 / Annually (commensurate with experience)

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM (40 hours/week)

Job Description: This role provides coordination and administrative support across the organization's membership, policy, and public affairs functions. The person in this position will help manage communications, support operational workflows, and assist with initiatives involving members, coalitions, and government stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, format, and circulate policy updates, alerts, and publications on behalf of internal committees and working groups
  • Format and finalize public comment submissions directed to federal regulatory bodies
  • Oversee year-end dividend reporting data collection and coordinate an annual property tax industry survey
  • Arrange and support meetings and calls with members, outside consultants, and other stakeholders, handling scheduling and logistics
  • Maintain team calendars and coordinate meeting invitations
  • Provide administrative and communications support for affiliated regional and foundation programs
  • Maintain organizational recordkeeping systems, including document and media archives, contracts, trademarks, and filings
  • Draft redlines for legislative language and contracts
  • Assist with auditing and building expense budgets related to advocacy, lobbying, and membership dues
  • Support preparation of board governance materials
  • Provide registration support before and during industry conferences
  • Assist with general office operations, including reception coverage and supply coordination
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of administrative coordination experience, ideally within an association, public policy, legal, or professional services setting
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional, polished demeanor with excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
