Job Position: Tax Internship
Hulsey, Tootle & Harrison, LLP is an established accounting firm located in Metter, GA which is currently seeking a college student interested in completing a Tax Internship Program. The candidate would have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in the office working on various tasks. Our firm specializes in tax related engagements specifically including preparation of individual and business tax returns, various business analysis/consulting, bookkeeping, estate planning, tax planning, payroll, and other agreed upon procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements
- Prepare and file tax returns - Business and Individual
- Enter accounting related information into business logs
- Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy
- Organize and update financial records
- Preparing payroll including preparation of monthly/quarterly tax deposits and tax forms
- Perform monthly bank settlements
Qualifications & Skills:
- Pursuing a degree in accounting from an accredited University
- Outstanding academic performance with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Available to work full-time, preferred not required
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel; very good with spreadsheets
- Detail oriented
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Meet deadlines for tax returns and other assigned projects
- Confidentiality and integrity
- Additional tasks as assigned
