Job Overview
We are hiring an Assembly Technician to support printer and copier production operations. This role focuses on installing hardware options into machines based on customer specifications, performing functional testing, and completing quality checks before units are staged and shipped.
This is a hands-on position ideal for candidates who enjoy working with tools, performing repetitive tasks, and being part of a team-oriented production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Install hardware options into copier and printer mainframes
Perform functional testing using standardized QA checklists
Verify machines are operating properly before shipment
Use basic hand tools (screwdrivers, nut drivers, etc.)
Prepare machines for staging and shipping
Follow all safety and quality procedures
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Assist teammates with lifting and setup when needed
Perform repetitive assembly tasks with accuracy
Meet production goals and deadlines
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (team lift required for heavier items)
Stand and walk throughout the shift (not extensive)
Bend, stoop, and kneel as needed
Handle tools and equipment safely
Push equipment on wheels when required
Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of related work experience
Basic mechanical and technical skills
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to read and follow written instructions
Strong verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Dependable with good attendance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Professional behavior in all interactions
Willingness to work overtime if needed
Work Environment
Warehouse setting
Adequate lighting and ventilation
Moderate noise levels
Exposure to cleaning chemicals and solvents
Occasional minor cuts or scrapes possible
