The Director of Operations is a critical leadership role responsible for driving the operational and financial performance of practices for the company. This individual will ensure alignment with Phase 1 Equity’s strategic goals while providing hands-on support to practices, identifying and implementing companywide benchmarks, process improvements, and fostering a culture of operational excellence. This job is currently remote but will transition into a hybrid role in the western suburbs in the coming months. Travel requirement of 20% to 40%. Key responsibilities include:
- Drive EBITDA growth across company’s practices by identifying opportunities, optimizing operational efficiencies, revenue streams, and cost management
- Analyze performance metrics and implement data-driven strategies to achieve financial targets
- Benchmark individual practice performance against regional and national standards to identify improvement opportunities
- Conduct monthly reviews of all practices to ensure alignment on practice and company initiatives
- Provide onsite support to practices when necessary, serving as a trusted partner to doctors, practice administrators and staff
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to design and implement initiatives that enhance patient satisfaction and practice productivity
- Support the training and rollout of new initiatives, systems, and processes to ensure seamless adoption across practices
- Assist with the integration of new practices into the company
- Assist with human resource management (e.g., hiring, onboarding, training, evaluations, staffing levels); helps to empower leaders within the practice
- Ensure practice compliance with licensing, continuing education, equipment servicing, and other regulatory requirements
- Facilitate positive culture by working with local staff and leadership with relationship building and social activities
- Serve as backup to Practice Administrators including payroll approvals as needed
- Provides coaching and regular performance feedback to ensure partner practices consistently deliver quality care and exemplify company values
- Serve as a mentor and leader within the company, fostering a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented environment
- Act as a liaison between corporate leadership and practice teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals
Qualifications include:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare management, or a related field required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
- Minimum of 8-10 years in management with experience in multi-site operations, healthcare management, or a related field, with a proven track record of driving financial and operational success
Skills & Competencies
- Strong financial acumen with experience in managing and growing EBITDA
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, benchmark performance, and develop actionable improvement strategies
- Exceptional leadership, coaching, and communication skills
- Adept at managing change and fostering team engagement in dynamic environments
