Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support within a K-12 school setting in Washington Navy Yard, DC. This part-time role involves delivering high-quality speech therapy services to students, with a focus on pediatric and educational healthcare needs. The position is onsite and offers a chance to contribute to the developmental progress of children during a maternity leave coverage period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other healthcare professionals to support student success
- Provide direct therapy services focusing on pediatric speech and language development
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports
- Adapt teletherapy techniques as needed to complement in-person sessions
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Eligibility for or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology
- Familiarity with teletherapy delivery methods for speech services
- Pediatric speech-language pathology expertise
- Knowledge of SLP practices within healthcare and educational environments
Position Details:
- Location: Washington Navy Yard, DC
- Setting: K-12 school environment

- Schedule: Part-Time, approximately 20 hours per week, with the possibility of an additional 4 hours
- Duration: Maternity leave coverage from January 5, 2026, through June 17, 2026
