Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a 13-week Emergency Department travel assignment in Indiana, working night shifts across multiple freestanding ED locations.

Details

  • Work setting is a 9-bed freestanding full Emergency Department serving both adult and pediatric patients
  • The department is staffed 24/7 with 1 MD, 2 RNs, 1 Paramedic, 1 Rad Tech, and 1 Front Desk Clerk
  • On-site capabilities include X-ray, CT, and Point-of-Care Lab (all RNs are trained to run labs)
  • Accepts EMS transports
  • Floating is required across all 4 freestanding ED sites (Avon, Castleton, Plainfield, and Indy South) with possible float to the main campus Adult ED
  • Night shift: 19:00–07:30
  • 13-week contract

Requirements

  • Active IN RN license or compact RN license (Compact must include Indiana)
  • Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • TNCC certification required (renewed every 4 years)
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification required
  • CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification required — must be an 8-hour course, renewed every 2 years
  • Minimum 2 years of ED nursing experience required
  • Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a valid US home address
  • Two professional references required
  • Copy of Driver's License required for consideration
  • Full SSN and full DOB required for consideration

Additional Information

  • All RNs are trained to perform Point-of-Care Lab testing alongside Paramedics and Radiology Technologists
