This role is critical to driving new business, expanding market presence, and leading sales growth across multiple industries. We are looking for a highly motivated, relationship-driven sales professional with strong communication skills, excellent business development instincts, and a deep understanding of manufacturing. Sales & Business Development Manager Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow the injection molding business into new and existing markets
- Build a strong pipeline through prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and re-engaging past customers
- Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and customer presentations
- Lead contract negotiations to establish profitable, long-term customer partnerships
- Partner with internal engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure successful project execution
- Attend trade shows, customer visits, and industry events to expand brand presence
- Monitor market trends, customer demands, and competitive activity
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular reporting on pipeline activity, KPIs, and forecasts
- Support business unit goals and assist with coaching team members as needed
Sales & Business Development Manager Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, or related field OR 7+ years of progressive sales/business development experience in place of a degree
- Ability to travel up to 50% within the United States
- Proven experience in sales and business development, with strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills
- B2B manufacturing sales experience required, strong preference for injection molding or plastics experience
- Experience working within construction, energy, utilities industry
- Experience leading and managing teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to customers and collaborate internally
- Experience with CRM and modern sales tools (Salesforce, ZoomInfo, etc.)
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Teams
- Must pass a background check and drug screen
- Strong work ethic, professionalism, and ability to build strong customer relationships
