Exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist interested in making an impact in the educational setting! This contract role focuses on providing ESY (Extended School Year) coverage for children from birth through three years old, with some indirect responsibilities for students aged three to twenty-two. The assignment runs from June 15, 2026, to July 24, 2026, based near Hugo, MN. The position is ideal for those who thrive with flexible scheduling and dynamic caseloads.
What You'll Do:
- Deliver occupational therapy services for children (birth-3) through home or daycare visits once a month, coordinating with a supportive team.
- Manage indirect services for students aged 3-22, primarily through check-ins, with flexibility to plan your weekly hours around the caseload (generally 3-5 hours per week, though weekly hours may fluctuate).
- Travel as needed for home/daycare visits and complete timely documentation.
- Adapt to varying hours from week to week, depending on caseload and student needs.
- Communicate effectively with families, educational staff, and other service providers.
Qualifications:
- Active Minnesota Occupational Therapist license (required for consideration).
- Previous experience in school-based settings or with pediatric populations preferred.
- Willingness and ability to accommodate a flexible, fluctuating schedule.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable with travel for in-person visits.
