Diamond Care Transportation is an established non emergency medical transportation company operating since 2016 across six states, now looking to launch a licensed commercial ALS ambulance division serving the Maryland and Washington, DC metro region.

The Role
We are seeking a licensed physician to serve as Medical Director for our commercial ambulance service, fulfilling the requirements of COMAR 30.03.03 and MIEMSS commercial ambulance licensing standards. You will provide medical oversight for our ALS and BLS operations as we build a high-quality inter-facility and medical transport service.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical direction and clinical oversight for ALS/BLS ambulance operations
• Review and approve patient care protocols consistent with Maryland EMS protocols
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of patient care reports
• Oversee credentialing and clinical competency of paramedics and EMTs
• Advise on controlled substance handling, equipment standards, and clinical policy
• Serve as liaison with MIEMSS/SOCALR on clinical matters
• Participate in periodic case reviews and continuing education guidance

Requirements

• MD or DO, licensed and in good standing in Maryland (DC licensure a plus)
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine, or significant EMS/prehospital care experience
• Familiarity with Maryland EMS protocols and MIEMSS regulatory framework
• Prior EMS medical director experience strongly preferred
• Active DEA registration
