Job Description
Specific duties include the following but are not limited to:
- Process, monitor and review all reportable and non-reportable incidents in conformance with Part 624 of 14NYCRR.
- Conduct investigations as assigned by NYS Justice Center and Incident Management Coordinator.
- On-call 24 hours/7 days week for reporting and investigation of urgent agency incidents.
- Assist in the staff training process regarding incident identification and reporting.
- Interface with Agency personnel and community/service providers.
- Attend monthly Incident Review Committee meetings. Record meeting minutes ensuring adequate description and accuracy. Generate meeting minutes/reports in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance staff to ensure on-going compliance with federal and state incident management requirements.
- Attend OPWDD facility audits when requested.
- Develop compliance protocol and administrative guidelines relative to in the incident management process.
- Update the incident management data base, as necessary.
- Assist Quality Assurance staff in implementing the internal QA process, as required.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Ability to multi-task. Must have a positive, pleasant disposition and exhibit meticulous attention to detail.
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Must have a valid drivers’ license.
- Excellent computer skills
