Degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT Certification), and minimum 1+ years Radiology Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A licensed Radiologic Technologist is needed to perform diagnostic imaging procedures under general supervision in a small rural hospital setting. This contract opportunity is based in Shasta Lake, CA, offering a chance to work in a close-knit healthcare environment supporting community health needs.
Responsibilities include conducting imaging exams across multiple modalities including radiology and CT, maintaining high-quality images, and adhering to all state and federal regulations. The role demands skill in patient positioning, equipment operation, and emergency responsiveness. The technologist will also assist in patient scheduling, equipment maintenance, and ensuring departmental compliance with safety and operational policies.
Key duties: Perform imaging exams per physician orders with proficiency across modalities Maintain strict patient confidentiality and documentation Ensure proper stocking and readiness of supplies and equipment Respond effectively to equipment malfunctions and emergencies Participate in department quality initiatives and maintain compliance with regulations Support patient care through assessment of physical and safety needs Adapt to varying staffing needs including holidays, weekends, and call coverage
Qualifications: Associate of Science Degree from an accredited Radiology program California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license required Current BLS certification ARRT certification preferred Minimum two years acute care experience preferred or equivalent diagnostic imaging experience Proficiency in at least two imaging modalities preferred
