Job Summary:
The Phlebotomist Patient Services Representative (PSR II) represents the company’s mission of providing diagnostic services that empower better health decisions. This role involves drawing and preparing blood samples, building patient trust, and ensuring accuracy and safety in all procedures. The PSR II may be assigned to different locations as needed and must demonstrate leadership, attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills.Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing in accordance with standard protocols
  • Maintain accurate patient records and verification documentation
  • Promote a professional and safe work environment
  • Deliver high-quality, error-free results in a fast-paced setting
  • Travel to multiple sites as needed and adapt to short-notice assignments
  • Follow company policies on dress code, safety, and compliance
  • Provide open communication and superior customer service
  • Uphold patient confidentiality and organizational reputation

Required Experience:

  • Three years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections
  • Keyboard/data entry proficiency
  • Experience in high-volume environments

Nice-to-Have Experience:

  • At least two years in a Patient Service Center setting
  • Customer service in retail or similar industries

Required Skills:

  • Excellent phlebotomy technique across age groups
  • Strong independent work ethic
  • Flexible scheduling, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts

Preferred Skills:

  • Reliable transportation with a valid license and a clean driving record
  • Judgment and decision-making within established guidelines
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with composure

Additional Skills:

  • Medical assistant or paramedic training
  • Phlebotomy certification (required in CA, NV, WA; preferred elsewhere)
  • Organizational commitment and leadership behaviors
  • Commitment to accuracy, compliance, and patient care excellence
