Servtech is seeking a dedicated, hands-on Custodial Manager to lead our team at the Andrews AFB Commissary.

Qualifications

The following are required or preferred unless otherwise noted:

  • Prior supervisory or management experience
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Experience managing a team of 10 or more employees
  • Experience with floor care, including stripping and waxing, required
  • Prior custodial or janitorial experience required.
  • Ability to pass a department of defense background check
  • Availability to work overnights

Key Responsibilities

The Custodial Manager will perform and/or oversee the following:

  • Assign daily custodial tasks to team members
  • Supervise employees performing cleaning and sanitation duties to ensure quality standards are met
  • Monitor workflow and productivity to ensure all work is completed within required timeframes
  • Conduct quality control inspections and ensure corrective actions are taken when needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and all applicable regulations
  • Oversee health and safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer representatives and address any concerns or requests
  • Respond to and document employee incidents, accidents, and emergencies appropriately
  • Handle employee concerns and promote a positive, respectful work environment
  • Complete required reports, documentation, and end-of-day processes
  • Lead by example by actively participating in custodial duties
  • Motivate and support team members through a strong, hands-on leadership approach
