Job Description

Position Summary:
Villa Angela-St. Joseph High School is seeking a full-time Technology Teacher to join our faculty. The individual will be responsible for teaching technology classes as assigned by the principal and implementing the curriculum in accordance with the Diocese of Cleveland and Ohio Department of Education standards. A teaching license is preferred. The ideal candidate will have experience in rigorous lesson planning, a background in diverse school environments, and the ability to integrate technology effectively while ensuring fair assessments for all students.

Responsibilities:

Plan and implement lessons aligned with the Diocese of Cleveland curriculum guidelines.
Create assignments and projects that help students become proficient in Google Suite and other computer applications.
Integrate the use of technology into the curriculum effectively.
Communicate professionally and regularly with parents about student progress.
Participate in faculty meetings, committee meetings, professional development opportunities, and retreats.
Assess students regularly and fairly.
Actively supervise students in various settings.

Job Requirements:

Teaching license or approved non-tax license.
Experience teaching computer science/technology.
Ability to pass FBI/BCI background check.
VIRTUS certified or willing to become certified.
Strong background in teaching pedagogy.
Experience teaching urban high school students.
