Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in Ashland, NE, serving an elementary school setting with an Early Childhood caseload of up to 20 children. This contract role runs through the current school year until May 22, 2026, with consistent hours from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 8:15 AM to 3:45 PM. The classroom will be located onsite in a PreK environment, so no travel between locations is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSPs) along with other mandated special education documentation.
- Maintain regular communication with early childhood team members and families to discuss student needs and progress.
- Complete all necessary paperwork related to early childhood special education.
- Participate as a member of the evaluation team to determine eligibility for early childhood special education services.
Qualifications:
- Valid Nebraska Special Education certification with Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE) or Early Childhood Inclusive certification.
- Experience working with young children in an early childhood special education setting.
- Strong knowledge of IEP and IFSP development and compliance requirements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
Location: Ashland, Nebraska (onsite in an elementary school PreK classroom).
