Scope of Work:
Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the quality assurance program through independent assessments, data analysis, and interpretation of contract requirements and regulatory standards. Provide expert recommendations to management regarding compliance, performance trends, and process improvements.
Responsibilities:
- Perform systematic audits and evaluations of subcontractor maintenance and repair activities to assess compliance with contractual obligations, codes, and standards.
- Analyze workmanship, materials, and safety practices, and determine appropriate corrective actions or escalation based on findings.
- Interpret contracts, technical specifications, and drawings to make compliance determinations and provide guidance to subcontractors and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and present analytical reports summarizing findings, trends, risks, and recommended corrective actions to the Quality Assurance Manager.
- Utilize CMMS (e.g., Maximo) and other systems to track performance metrics, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Support the development, implementation, and refinement of QA/QC processes, inspection protocols, and performance standards.
- Evaluate subcontractor performance and recommend acceptance, rejection, or remediation strategies for work performed.
- Identify systemic issues and provide process improvement recommendations to enhance quality, efficiency, and compliance.
- Coordinate with project teams and subcontractors to resolve complex compliance issues and ensure alignment with contract requirements.
- Provide guidance on the interpretation and application of regulatory requirements, building codes, and safety standards.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in quality control, quality assurance, or facilities/construction oversight.
- Journeyman-level experience in one or more skilled trades (Electrical, Carpentry, Plumbing, HVAC).
- Demonstrated ability to interpret contracts, specifications, and regulatory requirements and apply them independently.
- Experience analyzing data, identifying trends, and making recommendations that impact operational or compliance outcomes.
- OSHA certifications preferred.
- Active U.S. Government security clearance (Secret required; Top Secret preferred, as applicable to contract).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with work order systems such as Maximo preferred.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to maintain the ability to access the government worksite.
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working at a computer or desk.
- Frequent use of hands for typing, data entry, and handling paperwork.
- This position is primarily performed in an office setting; however, regular site visits and field inspections are required. Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and navigate active work sites when necessary. This may include standing, walking, bending, or climbing for extended periods while wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
