PHARMACIST | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Farmington MI 48335 – 100% on-site
- Payrate: $64.27/hr
- Required Availability: Full-time for the 1st month before shifting to a part-time schedule
- Month 1: Monday – Friday | 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Full-Time)
- Month 2+: 1–4 days per week (Part-Time)
PHARMACIST | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Pharmacist will be responsible for the accurate dispensing of medications and the clinical oversight of patient drug therapy. You will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare practitioners to ensure safe and effective medication management.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
PHARMACIST | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prescription Management: Fill and enter prescriptions; conduct rigorous initial and final clinical reviews for accuracy and safety.
- Clinical Consultation: Advise patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, drug interactions, and storage requirements.
- Patient Services: Provide specialized services such as smoking cessation support, blood pressure monitoring, and cholesterol management education.
- Compounding: Perform non-sterile compounding for internal and external use and prepare sterile solutions following established safety procedures.
- Supervision: Lead and supervise pharmacy staff, including technicians and clerks, to maintain a high-functioning team environment.
- Administrative Oversight: Maintain confidential patient records, manage inventory levels for pharmaceutical and medical supplies, and ensure all pharmacy files are organized and up-to-date.
PHARMACIST | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required.
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days.
- Licensure: Must hold an active, unrestricted Michigan Pharmacist License.
- Experience with non-sterile compounding
- Strong background in retail or clinical pharmacy settings.
- Ability to communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare practitioners.
- High level of attention to detail and ability to identify drug-related problems/contraindications.
