April–September | 32 hrs/week | $24/hr + Monthly Bonus


About the Role


Rocky Mountain Paddleboard (RMP) is seeking a reliable, hands-on Café & Event Lead to oversee daily operations of our Lakeside Café at the Boulder Reservoir during peak season.


This is a working leadership role — ideal for someone with supervisory experience who’s ready to step into greater responsibility while working alongside the team. You’ll run day-to-day café operations, support a small team, and lead on-site event execution, working closely with F&B and Events Managers and the General Manager.

What You’ll Do


Daily Café Operations

  • Serve as Manager on Duty during operating hours

  • Lead front-of-house service while coordinating with the Kitchen Lead

  • Maintain a clean, organized, inspection-ready café environment

  • Ensure food safety and liquor license compliance

  • Deliver a welcoming, efficient guest experience aligned with the RMP brand


Team Leadership

  • Create and manage café staff schedules (FOH)

  • Partner with the Kitchen Lead on BOH scheduling

  • Support onboarding and training of seasonal team members

  • Provide real-time coaching and shift leadership


Inventory & Cost Awareness

  • Manage ordering and inventory use basic in-house systems

  • Monitor product levels and minimize waste

  • Maintain accurate counts and support cost efficiency


Event Execution

  • Lead food & beverage operations for on-site events handed off by the Events team

  • Coordinate staffing and inventory needs for event days

  • Ensure smooth, professional service during high-traffic event operations

  • Maintain compliance and operational standards during special programming



What We’re Looking For


Must Have

  • 2+ years in a supervisory or assistant management role in food & beverage, events or hospitality

  • Experience leading small teams in fast-paced service environments

  • Comfortable creating schedules and managing basic inventory systems

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Calm, solutions-focused leadership under pressure

  • Food Handlers Certification

  • Colorado TIPS Certification


Bonus if you have:

  • Event or catering experience

  • Experience in seasonal operations

  • Familiarity with Toast POS


Schedule & Commitment

  • 32+ hours per week

  • Wednesday–Sunday regular schedule

  • No late nights

  • Occasional event coverage required

  • All major summer holidays required (Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day)

  • Full seasonal commitment (April–September) required


Physical Requirements

  • Standing for extended periods

  • Lifting up to 40 lbs

  • Moving between service areas during busy shifts

  • Occasional outdoor event support


Reporting Structure

This role reports to F&B Leadership and the General Manager and works closely with the Events team.


Compensation & Growth

  • $22-24hr

  • Monthly performance bonus

  • 32+ hours per week (not to exceed 40)

  • April–September commitment
