Job DescriptionKable Academy is hiring a INSTRUCTOR – CODING/AI INSTRUCTOR in Blue Ash, OH. This position is full-time, temp to hire opportunity. FULL JOB DESCRIPTIONPRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Instruct Responsive Web Design, Front-End Design and Full Stack Developer coursework to class sizes of up to 20 students per class 8:30am – 4:30pm
- Prepare students to successfully pass the CIW Site Associate or CIW JavaScript Specialist certification exams
- Deliver engaging and interactive lectures, labs, and coding exercises in web development and AI.
- Teach full-stack web development technologies
- Provide instruction in AI/ML fundamentals and model-building basics
- Develop and update course content, lesson plans, and instructional materials.
- Assist students with coding assignments, capstone projects, and technical problem-solving.
- Coach students one-on-one to academic and certification success
- Evaluate student performance through assessments, feedback, and code reviews.
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging learning environment that promotes student success.
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences
- Establish and communicate clear learning objectives for all instructional activities
- Prepare classroom and appropriate learning aids for class activities
- Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in classroom instruction
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
- Use relevant technology (ZOOM) to support e-learning instruction. ZOOM link must be delivered by 8:45am.
- Observe and evaluate student's performance and development. Attendance, both e-learning and inperson must be taken at the start of class at 9:00am
- Provide appropriate feedback necessary for student development
- Encourage and monitor the student progress and assist where necessary
- Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing academy policies and procedures
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the policies and disciplinary systems of the academy
- Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and administrative staff regarding student progress and student needs
- Keep updated with developments in subject area, teaching resources and methods and make relevant changes to instructional plans and activities
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience managing student attendance, assignment, participation, and examination records is preferred
- Ability to work well with others
- Strong decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple classes and handle typical student issues
- Currently or able to obtain certifications relative to the courses being taught in the classroom
- Must be able to work both day and/or evening hours
- Must be able to captivate and inspire an audience
- Self-motivation
- High energy level
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Candidates with a different combination of technical training experience and practical work experience will be considered.
- Candidates who experience teaching in a classroom are preferred to or/and in a synchronous environment.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
