We’re Hiring: Director of Billing Services
Are you an experienced revenue cycle leader ready to drive strategy, compliance, and operational excellence? We are seeking a results-driven Director of Billing Services to lead our billing, collections, and credentialing functions. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for improving financial performance, streamlining workflows, and ensuring compliance with healthcare billing regulations.
Position Summary:
The Director of Billing Services oversees the full spectrum of patient billing operations, including claims submission, collections, denials management, and contract compliance. Working collaboratively with clinical, administrative, and financial teams, this role ensures accurate and timely billing while driving continuous improvements across the revenue cycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Department Oversight

Direct daily operations of the billing, collections, and credentialing teams.

Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate department staff.

Provide guidance, coaching, and development to promote high performance.
Billing & Revenue Cycle Management

Oversee the complete billing process, including charge entry, third-party billing, and payment reconciliation.

Monitor denials and coordinate appeals to maximize collections.

Maintain charge master accuracy and ensure payer contract compliance.

Perform billing audits and documentation reviews to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence.
Data Analysis & Performance Improvement

Use billing and collections data to identify trends and improve workflows.

Optimize use of billing systems and implement process enhancements.

Prepare reports and metrics for executive leadership.
Collaboration & Compliance

Work closely with clinical and administrative teams to resolve billing issues and streamline operations.

Stay up-to-date on regulatory changes, payer requirements, and emerging billing technologies.

Ensure department operations are fully HIPAA-compliant and meet federal/state regulations.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, or related field (preferred)

Minimum 5 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience (physician and hospital billing)

At least 2 years in a supervisory or management role

NCCT Certification required

CPC certification or higher preferred
Skills & Abilities:

Deep knowledge of healthcare billing, collections, credentialing, and denials management

Skilled in using billing platforms and Microsoft Office
