Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity exists for an experienced Operating Room Technician (ORT) to support a surgical team in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This contract position allows you to utilize your technical skills to ensure surgical procedures run smoothly and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain operating rooms by sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Assist surgical staff during procedures by passing instruments and supplies.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Manage inventory of surgical instruments and replenish supplies as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain accurate records related to surgical procedures and equipment usage.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Proven experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) or equivalent.
- Comprehensive knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization techniques, and OR protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Certified Operating Room Technician credentials preferred.
- Effective communication skills and teamwork orientation.
