POSITION OVERVIEW
The Registered Dietician has experience providing nutrition education to patients and mitigating risk factors. You must be ready to collaborate with physicians, therapists, and nurses in order to tailor dietary services and improve patient outcomes. The Registered Dietician should be a great communicator, critical thinker and leader. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of conducting nutrition assessments, identifying patients at risk and creating diet plans. You should be able to analyze the effectiveness of interventions and use metrics to implement data-driven improvements.
KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Direct, supervise and coordinate all the functions and activities and related to clinical nutritional care.
• Develop or review, revise and implement policies and procedures to assure compliance with federal and state regulations, laws and guidelines.
• Develop the monthly Performance Improvement Clinical

• Develop the monthly Performance Improvement Clinical Nutrition Report (QAPI)
• Develop and implement plans to facilitate the provision of high quality and appropriate nutrition care to residents.
• Participate or lead interdisciplinary teams, committees, and food service manager meetings.
• Ensure dietary services are in accordance with company guidelines, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Develop nutrition plans and implement interventions based on knowledge of patient’s current health.
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual assessments of clients and adapt nutritional plans as needed via medical electronic records
• Implement personalized, age-specific and culturally appropriate nutrition strategies.
• Deliver Client Nutrition recommendations to physicians, nurses, and aides.
• Provide nutrition education and counseling for Casa Promesa clients/residents.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition, Biology or related field.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Must be registered with the American Dietetic Association and Certified in the state of New York.
• Candidate must possess good verbal, writing and organizational skills.
• Candidate must have strong computer knowledge to prepare statistics, data, and reports.

• Bi-lingual, English and Spanish preferred.
