Job DescriptionAn established company in the Winston-Salem area is seeking an Accounting Specialist to support day-to-day accounting operations on a contract basis. This role is ideal for an accounting professional who can step in quickly and provide hands-on support across transactional and general accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with general ledger maintenance and journal entries
- Support month-end close, including reconciliations and reporting
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with audits and provide backup documentation as needed
- Work closely with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and accounting issues
- Utilize accounting software and Excel to track, analyze, and report data
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in an accounting, bookkeeping, or accounting support role
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
- Experience with accounting software (ERP experience a plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Pay Details: $24.00 to $27.00 per hour
