ABOUT THE POSITION:
Reporting to the 2nd Shift Production Supervisor, this position is involved in daily production in the panel stacking department, stacking, packaging, and then placing finished panels into their designated location, using a “Combi-Lift” (Side Loader.) This will include visual and physical inspection of panels, as well as checking quality.
DUTIES:
- Operating Stacking Machine
- Packaging finished bundles to be prepared for shipment.
- Loading and clearing finished bundles into designated storage locations within our building and outside in our staging area.
- Operates automatic packaging machines, forklifts, conveyors and maintains taping and labeling containers.
- Completes daily inspection on lift equipment, reports any associated maintenance problems and maintains proper fuel levels (battery or gas).
- Move bundles as necessary between curing, storage, and outdoor yard.
- While transporting outside, highlight each bundle on Shipping BOM’s, to ensure accuracy of production.
- Place bundles in shipping yard safely and without damage according to load dates, length. (In cold weather, make sure bundles are free and clear of ice before stacking on each other).
- Ensures that any task performed within the work cell is completed in accordance with the written Standard Working Operating Procedure(s) for that task.
- Contributes to an ongoing culture of cleanliness and order within the workstation/cell.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during operations.
- Interpret and understand technical specifications, instructions, and measurements.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and timelines.
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum High-school Diploma or equivalent.
- Must have the physical and mental ability, including omnidirectional spatial awareness and capability, to drive a CombiLift successfully.
- This finished product can be quite sensitive, so attention to detail and a great driving record of Power Industrial Equipment is a must.
- Able to refuel propane on lift truck.
- Able to monitor proper functioning of equipment
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Able to work in team, and independently.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- You will be working in a brand new, natural light filled, State-of-the-Art Facility in Walker Michigan.
- The production facility does get warm in the summer months, and cool in the winter as you will be storing our finished products outside in the designated locations.

- The employee is frequently required to walk and climb or balance.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to communicate orally and written in English.
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
- Must be able to obtain forklift operator license certification within 90 days of hire/transfer into job.
