Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Special Education Teacher position is available at a school in Los Gatos, CA, offering a contract role starting ASAP through June 5, 2026. This opportunity involves working primarily with students in grades K-5, with a caseload of up to 28 students, serving the K-12 age group. The part-time schedule consists of 35 hours per week across five days.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Education Specialist Credential required
  • Experience working with K-12 students, preferably focused on K-5
  • Strong knowledge of special education laws, assessment tools, and individualized education programs (IEPs)
  • Ability to develop and implement tailored instructional plans
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to special education students to meet their individualized needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, support staff, and families
  • Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
  • Participate in team meetings, assessments, and documentation related to student performance
