Shipping & Receiving Clerk | Allegan, MI
Salary Range: $48,000 - $68,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Allegan seeking Shipping & Receiving Clerks who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, noting any discrepancies or damages.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare outgoing shipments according to order specifications and shipping requirements.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by updating system data for all incoming and outgoing goods.
- Organize and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the shipping and receiving dock areas.
- Schedule and coordinate inbound and outbound freight carriers.
- Prepare shipping labels, bills of lading, and other necessary documentation.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory audits.
Recommended Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment
- Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and inventory management software
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (e.g., up to 50 lbs)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
Bonus Qualifications
- Forklift certification
- Experience with inventory management software
- Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- Familiarity with hazardous material handling procedures
