About the Role

Central MEP Solutions is seeking a licensed Master Electrician for a commercial union project in Washington, DC. This role is ideal for a senior-level professional with strong commercial experience and the ability to lead electrical operations in a union construction environment.

You will oversee installations, ensure code compliance, and provide leadership to field teams on active commercial job sites.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and perform commercial electrical installations
Supervise electricians, apprentices, and support staff as needed
Install and maintain panels, switchgear, lighting, and power distribution systems
Run and bend conduit (EMT, rigid, etc.)
Review and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents
Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and union agreements
Conduct inspections and maintain quality control standards
Coordinate with project managers and other trades on site

Qualifications

5–8 years of commercial electrical experience
Valid Master Electrician license (as required in Washington, DC)
Experience working in a union construction environment required
Strong knowledge of NEC and commercial installation practices
Proven leadership and supervisory skills
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
Reliable transportation to Washington, DC
