Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time speech-language pathologist position is available for the 20262027 school year in Richmond, VA, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This opportunity focuses on pediatric speech therapy within an elementary and early childhood educational setting. Caseloads are tailored to the candidates experience and preferences, accommodating a range from moderate to profound needs. Both local and travel candidates are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to students with diverse needs across K12 grades
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess, plan, and deliver therapeutic interventions to support communication development
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in compliance with school policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to holistic student support strategies
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Experience working with pediatric populations, particularly in early childhood and elementary settings
- Strong understanding of speech and language development in school-aged children
- Ability to manage varied caseloads based on student needs and therapist expertise
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
