Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time School Psychologist position is available, focusing on supporting high school students within special education programs. This role involves working closely with students in resource and inclusion settings to provide comprehensive psychological services tailored to their unique educational needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience working with high school-aged students
- Strong background in resource and inclusion special education environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and educational teams
Location and Schedule:
- Position based in Storrs Mansfield, CT
- Full-time role, 5 days per week
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations to identify student needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student success
- Provide consultations and interventions for students with special education needs
- Monitor and report on student progress and adjust strategies as necessary
