Job Title: Document Control Clerk (Temporary, On-site)
Location: Hawthorne, CA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Compensation: $20.50 per hour
Employment Type: Temporary (3 months)
Job Overview:
A manufacturing organization in the Hawthorne area is seeking a Document Control Clerk for a 3-month temporary assignment. The Document Control Clerk will be responsible for maintaining and organizing technical and quality documentation. This role supports engineering, quality assurance, and production teams by ensuring accurate document processing and compliance with internal and external standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain electronic and hardcopy document files across multiple systems
- Support documentation workflows using ERP, MES, FTP, and document management systems (DMS)
- Process, scan, file, and archive project documents to ensure timely access and version control
- Coordinate document approvals and distributions across internal departments
- Perform accurate data entry across various platforms
- Review technical and quality documents for completeness and accuracy
- Support internal quality processes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain confidentiality and organization standards in all documentation activities
- Other administrative or clerical duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in an administrative or document control role preferred
- Ability to type at least 30 words per minute
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio), Adobe Acrobat, and WinZip
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Ability to work independently and follow established procedures
Work Environment:
- This position is 100% on-site in a production and office environment
- Standard business hours, Monday through Friday
