Industrial Coatings Applicator (Powder/Wet Spray)
Job Description
Job Description A day in this role
Your shift begins at 6:00 AM in a clean, well-organized finishing area. You review the work order, select the specified paint from inventory, and prepare it to exact spraying viscosity. When the print calls for it, you accurately mix two-part urethane with the correct reducer. You fine-tune your equipment, then apply a uniform, high-quality finish to parts that must meet close tolerances and exacting customer specifications.
As parts cure, you verify finish quality and color accuracy, performing in-process checks against customer requirements. You keep the booth performing at its best by changing filters when needed and cleaning to standard. Surplus paint and used solvent are handled with care—collected in the correct containers for hazardous waste pickup—and any spills are promptly contained with absorbent materials per procedure. You wrap up by washing your spray gun, organizing materials, and tending to general housekeeping so the next job starts smoothly.
