Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time Special Education Teacher role supports students in grades K-12 at an onsite school in Aurora, CO. The position focuses on delivering specialized instruction to a caseload of 19-21 students with mild to moderate disabilities, combining both push-in and pull-out services. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet each student's unique learning needs.
- Provide both push-in and pull-out instructional support in alignment with students educational goals.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure a cohesive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Manage classroom behavior and foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Colorado Special Education (SPED) license required.
- Experience working with mild to moderate disabilities preferred.
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to accommodate a diverse caseload.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Location: Aurora, Colorado
Schedule: Full-time (up to 40 hours per week), onsite
