Job Description
The Title Clerk in Allen Honda’s Accounting Department handles the title work requirements for all vehicle transactions per company and state requirements while ensuring quality and maintaining customer satisfaction. This job requires frequent contact with internal and external customers as well as extended periods of sitting and walking.
Responsibilities:
- Timely & accurately process all title work per the legal requirements of the DMV or appropriate agencies & submit the information (including: new, pre-owned, trades & wholesale transactions)
- Verify accuracy of completed forms
- Process vehicle registration & license plates for customers
- Accurately record all vehicle liens
- Obtain titles from lienholders when vehicles are paid off
- Aggressively acquire necessary, time-sensitive documents to resolve title issues in a timely & efficient manner
- Maintain a daily management list of any title related issues & coordinate with staff involved
- Interact with DMV personnel to resolve issues
- Assist with filing and general clerical tasks as needed
- Maintain the highest ethical practices & protect the confidentiality of customer & company information at all times
- This position coordinates with & reports directly to the Controller
- Other duties as assigned
